Now Open: Salata Starts Tossing in Uptown

I was invited to stop in to the new Salata Salad Bar today in West Village. The newest location (of 7) takes over the old Campania pizza joint location and brings healthy, customizable salads to Uptown.

The space is nothing new to those who have been into one of the 7 metroplex locations before. Enter into a light and cozy dining room and a viewing line where the salad throw down commences. First, choose the way you’d like your salad to meet your face. Two options: a wrap or a silver mixing bowl full of salad goodness. Next choose from a wide variety of fresh lettuces, vegetables, chicken, seafood, fruits, nuts and cheeses, as well as signature dressings. Believe me when I say that you will be full from the salads at this place. They are large enough for 2 meals for me…and I like to EAT a lot.

Started by Berge Simonian and Tony Kyoumjian in 2005, the duo created the concept after seeing an increase in demands of the health conscious public wanting healthy, fresh eating alternatives. They won’t have any trouble selling to the fresh foodies of Uptown who crave something healthy and delicious on the regular.

On April 18th, Salata Uptown will be hosting a ‘First to Fifty’ giveaway, granting the first fifty customers Salata gift cards ranging from $5 to $50, as well as serving their signature salads and salad wraps at a discounted price of $5 all day long.

Here’s a peek at what you can expect to find inside:
