In Dallas’ newest prime neighborhood, ESPA at The Joule is taking the spa experience to the next level, underground that is. The newest luxury spa in the ESPA family, Dallas’ latest zen addition is pampering residents and travelers alike back to their happy place. From the minute you walk in, the attention to detail and professionalism is tip top. An offering of cool water, champagne or hot tea and a greeting from the host at the welcome desk had me set for finding my calm. It’s a natural lit spa lobby that incorporates european style with Texas opulence. ESPA is set over two floors, with the design of the spa taking advantage of The Joule’s existing play with all forms of energy combined with Dallas glamour to fashion the ultimate Urban Escape.
Around the corned from the main seating area is a nook that serves as the manicure and pedicure station, make up and lash lounge. It’s a chic little area that has energy and good vibes about it.
The real magic happens when you take the flight of stairs leading down to the subterranean level of the spa. An abundance of experiences lay ahead of any visit to ESPA at The Joule. Included is a vitality pool that rivals the Roman baths with a lounger in the pool that bubbles for a back massage and jets that sooth. Another amazing aspect of the space is the experience shower which switches from hot to cold and even a swiss water jet massage in the same space. Wow! Ps, there are also homemade granola bites and cookies to munch on too. Score!
Of course there are both dry and steam saunas that will open the air passages but there was one amenity that blew me away. The opulent ice fountain located in ESPAs pre and post treatment area is a part of the ground-breaking European heat experiences that will take guests through a healing journey of temperature changes, and the introduction of the multi-functional treatment room where guests can retreat for a full day of treatments. Guests are invited to warm up in the sauna and then douse themselves with the ice fountain to quickly cool the body. Futuristic and advance treatment styles will have you feeling 110% in no time. Spa Manager Virginia Acosta recommends you arrive up to 1 hour in advance of your treatment so that you can change, relax and enjoy the spa facilities. I’d take her recommendation seriously if I were you. Find yourself at ESPA soon, because even guys (ESPA has a exclusive set of athletes and male celebrities that frequent) need pampering too!
An exclusive to you all, I’ve just learned that ESPA is opening up their first fitness studio in just a few weeks. VITAL Fitness by ESPA at the Joule. Headington Companies announces VITAL, a contemporary urban fitness studio that will expand and further define the fitness options available to Downtown denizens and locals while serving as a natural extension to the offerings of ESPA and The Joule. VITAL will occupy a newly-designed and specially-reconstructed subterranean space, and will offer daily yoga and group fitness classes starting in late 2013. Amenities included exquisitely finished changing rooms, lockers and showers. Single classes start at $30 for walk-ins and $25 for hotel and spa guests. VITAL is located below the TRAFFIC Los Angeles Men’s store and 1608 Main St. It’s primary entrance is at ground level directly across from the covered walk way at ESPA. We can’t wait for it to open, this used to be the old nightclub Cameo! What a turn around.
