The holiday season is in full swing, and with this time of year comes  the many parties to attend. Picking the appropriate outfit to suit the occasion can be tough, be it office, friends and family or formal, but I’ve selected some excellent options for you to draw from. For me, it’s all about being comfortable with what your wearing but still being able to dress it up a bit and look your dapper best.

Tuxedo/Moschino Boots/Grenson

One of my favorite looks this season comes to us courtesy of Traffic at The Joule in Downtown Dallas. This funky, playful and chic look comes is a great way to blend in some excitement into our Holiday wardrobe. Even taking a cue from the full suit, the jacket can stand alone and be a great conversation piece. Knowing how to mix and match pieces during a Holiday event packed time of the year is key. Don’t fear the playful side of your closet, its usually just the thing to add something special to any outfit.

Friends and family events during this season are really special, but they also allow us to be a little more low key with our clothing choices. This amazing jacket and patchwork shirt from Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garcons works perfectly for a casual Holiday setting. A stroll around Klyde Warren Park, a chic night out with friends, I love this look.

Whether you choose a fun blazer, sweater, jeans and boot combination or lose the jacket for comforts sake, my biggest tip during the Holidays is try to be playful with your pairings. As guys, we get so caught up in the standard polo, fleece jacket and cords combo but if you really want to stand out in a dapper way you’ve got to try something new. So Dallas gents, I challenge you now. Next time you step inside the store and think about what Holiday fun you have coming up, get familiar with some new brands, styles and looks. There’s nothing like being the best dressed guy in the room and the photos that get taken this season are frame-worthy.
