It was a fete not to be missed as HBO brought the season 3 premiere of their hit show ‘Girls‘ to Dallas this week. The ultra exclusive event hosted at the Granada Theater gave fans and media the first look at the opening 2 episodes of the upcoming season. The theater was transformed into a NYC loft complete with comfy couches, chic chairs and plush pillows.
To ramp back up for Season 3, I can share that we get an update on all 4 girls. Not all of them are in the best place and they all face new struggles in their path to New York City glory. HBO shares more on the new season, “Marnie laments on her march through the doldrums of her break-up with Charlie, to which Adam replies what we are all thinking: ‘That is the saddest thing I have ever heard.’ Who knows, maybe Charlie really does have a brain tumor that is making him crazy! Shoshanna lays out her plan for senior year that will optimize her chances to both enjoy her formidable years as well as prepare herself for life outside the safety blanket of academia. Plus, as Marnie points out, leaving room for romance and heartache is overrated.” But where does Jessa’s fate lie? Watch and see.
Partygoers at the Granada Theater dined on a special menu that was worthy of a Lena Dunham food fest:
Truffle Parmesan Popcorn (Organic, air popped, popcorn seasoned with Grana Padano Cheese & Truffle Oil.)
Gluten Free Mini Mole Chicken Tacos with Pear Pico (A chocolate spiced free-range organic stewed chicken topped with queso fresco and seasonal lime pear pico.)
Gluten free Chicken and Waffle Shooters (Brown Sugar Brined Organic Chicken tossed in a gluten free cayenne waffle batter served with a Sriracha pan gray.)
Gluten Free Vegan Sushi (Hand rolled vegan sushi with rainbow quinoa, carrots, avocado, cucumbers, red peppers served with Organic Soy Sauce, Wasabi, & Pickled Ginger.)
Mushroom Tartlet with Tarragon Cream (Delicate puff pastry tartlets filled with a ragout of wild mushrooms and topped with either our homemade Tarragon Cream or Brandy Melange Peppercorn Demi.)
Donut Skewers with Honey Bacon Fondue (Homemade Vanilla & Cacao Donut bites skewered and served with a Vanilla Bacon Fondue.)

Oh and did I mention the Kendra Scott After Party? It was awesome! Being that Dallas was chosen to be one of 8 cities for this event, it says great things about our city! Thanks HBO and Granada Theater for an amazing evening and be sure to tune in this Sunday to catch episode 1 of ‘Girls’!
