Write Your Love in the Sky with Uber

Wow! What will they think of next. Lux car service Uber has outdone themselves. In addition to their normal upscale car services, they’re allowing users to write love notes in the sky this Valentines Day by renting a skywriting plane. Want more details on how to really surprise (or creep out) the one(s) you love? Read on:

“This Valentine’s Day, we’re teaming up with ProFlowers and our partners to deliver a little pick-me-up with your Uber pickup. Every rider who takes an Uber on Friday, Feb. 14in any of our U.S. cities will have a good chance of getting a rose and a special ProFlowers discount card during their trip. It’s just one of the small gestures your driver makes to ensure you have a great ride — every time.

Meanwhile, hopeless romantics in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and Dallas, can send a turbocharged love letter in the sky powered by MasterCard Priceless Surprises with help from AirSign, right from the Uber app for $500 (a $10,000 value).

Here’s how it works:

  • Open the Uber app between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14
  • If it’s available, request the “UberSKY” option
  • Confirm the $500 price and brainstorm a romantic message (12 characters max)
  • Wait for an Uber rep to call and ask for your message
  • You’ll be notified when your message will appear in the great blue yonder
  • (Demand for UberSKY will be high, so be persistent if you’re unable to order skywriting on their first try.)

There you have it. So if you have the $500 and a burning love sitting around, get creative and show how much you care in the air.
