This past weekend was made of memories. I attended the 33rd Annual Black Tie Dinner in Dallas which benefits over 16 amazing charitable and groundbreaking organizations in the LGBT community. Each year, Black Tie Dinner selects up to 20 North Texas beneficiaries to receive dinner proceeds as well as the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the Dinner’s national beneficiary. To date, Black Tie Dinner has raised over $18 million. It was an amazing evening full of amazing honorees and speakers.
Formal events usually find everyone wearing the a different version of the same black suit. You know I love a great suit that serves its savvy purpose but also shows a fun side. When I found out about this event, I knew the folks over at Ted Baker would have just the suit to make the occasion even more special. The blue hues of this dinner suit were subtle enough but the pop of color that it provided really caught my attention. The detailed inner lining of the jacket and matching pocket square added the right about of drama and pattern to compliment the form fitting outfit. The pants hugged in all the right places. The suit hails from the Ted Baker Debonair collection that calls for a more modern fit slim and slightly tapered pants. I loved it all!
The next time you have the chance to attend a Black Tie event, don’t be afraid to veer from the norm and set your style standards in motion with a new take on a classic suit.
