I’ve always had a knack for sweets, overindulging and finishing that last piece of pizza. To my own demise, this has caused years of fluctuations in my health even though I was balancing it all out with good amounts of exercise. Now that I’ve gotten older and ice cream sandwiches and grilled cheese are no longer an acceptable dinner, I’ve started minding my p’s & q’s when it comes to healthful eating. Enter Modmarket, with nine locations in Colorado and three in Texas the eatery is just getting started.
My new friends at Modmarket invited me in on a quest to try out their new summer menu, and to get some greens in my system. The restaurant aims a broad menu of farm-to-table food that tastes even better than it looks. Modmarket is slowly but surely bringing healthy, sustainable dining to the masses and I love it!
The all new menu serves up a selection of salads, entrees, pizzas and sides that are made fresh in house every time. There’s a BLT+A that’s a kicked up version of a classic BLT sandwich includes all natural nitrate free bacon, basil aioli, avocado, tomato and arugula on multigrain bread. It was by far my favorite on the table, I mean who doesn’t love bacon?! The Steakhouse Salad was also a winner with Creekstone Farms Natural Black Angus steak, pickled red onion, gorgonzola, walnuts, cucumbers, roasted tomatoes and a new buttermilk horseradish dressing. My second favorite was a pizza that was actually good for me. Now say what now? Yep, the Sausage Pizza was a dream. It features Denver-based Polidori herb sausage and wilted escarole, The Sausage is topped with creamy roasted garlic creme fraiche, goat cheese and chili flakes.
With a nice offering of food that fills you up without being full of fillers and calories, Modmarket is topping the charts in the industry saturated with fast food options steeped in faux ingredients and sadness. I truly enjoyed my experience and I’ll be back!
