Ida Claire MidnightBrunch: Southern Late Night Plated

Imagine this. You are booking your next brunch outing with all of your friends, you can practically taste the Benedict and waffles already, but wait there is a catch. Ida Claire, the southern-inspired destination in Addison recently introduced MidnightBrunch on weekends from 11 p.m. – 2 a.m. You read that right, MidnightBrunch. Forget the run of the mill regular daytime brunch, oh no my friends, this brunch sets a whole new late night precedent. 

This meal indulges you in all of the late night cravings that you get after a long night out and grants you the ability to brunch after dark. Think delicious starters like Super Seed Granola with greek yogurt, seasonal fruit and basil or Crawfish Corn Fritters with smoked mustard remoulade. You’re booze filled stomach will be deeply satisfied by the offerings that Ida Claire is bringing to the table. Biscuits with Bacon Gravy, Orange Scented Pancakes topped with whiskey stone fruit and a sweet potato chip duck confit with goat cheese fondue, sunny side up egg and duck fat gravy. My oh my, where brunch meals late night meal these dishes bring a perfect balance.

Winners on the ‘main’ course part of the menu include delicious things such as Chicken in a Biscuit (crispy chicken, peppered bacon gravy, spinach, roasted tomato, sunny egg) that gives you greasy goodness. Another favorite was the Brisket Egg Burger (lettuce, tomato, b& b pickles, pimento cheese, black pepper aioli, sunny egg) otherwise known as the ‘Gypsy Burger’ and will only be made during MidnightBrunch. What’s brunch without dessert? You called it. Ida’s Vice Cake studded with candied bacon or Bartender’s Cake, chocolate goodness with spiced pecans, will suit your sweet tooth.

Don’t snooze on MidnightBrunch, people. Ida Claire you’d be missing out!
