If there’s one thing I can’t get enough of, it’s sandwiches. Stacked, open faced, simple or sweet. Putting my favorite ingredients between two slices of bread is always going to win me over, carbs be damned. When it comes to making an amazing sandwich in Dallas, there’s simply one winner all around. East Hampton Sandwich Company opens their 4th location in Dallas today and it’s located in the new Turtle Creek Village area of Oak Lawn.
The new location has all the quirks and comforts of the rest but boasts a larger dining area and a few new menu additions. When we stopped into the soft opening last night, we were told that the new location will be opening today to the public and serving glorious sammies from this day forward. Let’s get beyond the bread and to the meat of the matter shall we? While trying an assortment of delicious items off the menu, I did have a few favorites.
Take the NE Clam Chowder for instance with it’s Harbor Banks Clams, Roasted Potatoes, Herbs and Black Pepper. A comforting cup of soup that is perfect for fall or feeling like it. Another hearty sandwich is the Balsamic Tenderloin filled with Sliced Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Onion Strings, Bleu Cheese, Balsamic Glaze and Rosemary Au Jus. Super delicious and filling, how could you go wrong? But if you want to taste the holy grail of East Hampton’s ‘wich dynasty, go for the lobster roll. Voted Dallas’ favorite over and over, the roll is simply executed and served on a Butter Toasted Roll stuffed with Knuckle and Claw Meat with a sprinkling of Herbs. If you’re a first timer, start with the lobster, you won’t be sad. Of course, there are a few sweets that may fall as an after thought, but the bag of donuts really is quite the perfect ending.
*Thanks East Hampton for having us in to try your delicious sandwiches and other treat!
