It’s day 2 of my Lacoste takeover and today is all about polos! In a world filled with button downs and business boding attire, polos are the ultimate escape. The polo provides us guys the ability to keep up our professional personas in a more comfortable way. Take for instance when attending a party with friends or hitting the town with old college buddies, the polo is perfect. The next question lies in the buttons. How many? When to unbutton? Do I even need them? Well, most of the time it’s the rule of twos. If there are 2 or more dudes in the room with the polos buttoned up, then button up to 2. The rest is up to you, if you feel comfortable enough to go with one? Then do it. But always button at least one, gents. No one likes the guy who is pulling a full Mcconaughey to prove his manliness in a polo. So use your best judgement and don’t go too chesty in public.
In these modern times there is really only one name that draws to the front of my mind when talking polos, Lacoste. One of my favorites in their extensive line up is the short sleeve pique polo. It’s the quintessential modern polo style updated with a slimmer fit, but still featuring the signature croc logo. If it calls for a warm day or you know you’ll be working up a sweat during the day, this Lacoste Sport polo boasts a lightweight, comfortable feel. An absolute essential for me when I am on the go and need to look my best.
So now that you’ve earned your polo ph.d, go forth and conquer in pique position.
