There’s a part of all of us that pictures a south of the border beach vacation filled with delicious drinks, fresh local delicacies and a fun atmosphere to boot. I often dream of tacos and margaritas with the sand in my toes and a easy going point of view. But where, oh where, in Dallas might we achieve the same taste and feel that a Mexican culinary getaway can provide? Head to lowest Greenville and to C’Viche.

Dreamt up by co-owner and former Mansion on Turtle Creek Chef Randall Warder, this local hotspot is not to be missed. Warder imagined a eatery inspired by Mexican and South American culture as well as the food and beverage style, and C’Viche was created to highlight the bright, fresh flavors of these cuisines.

The menu is made up of fresh ingredients that go into tacos, C’viches and snacks. The cocktail menu is crafted to highlight the strengths of the great spirits of Mexico. You can even sample them straight, chilled or mixed your favorite way. And of course, plenty of Local Craft, Mexican and South American beer to quench your thirst.

My favorites that I was able to try when co-owner Courtney Warder invited me included the Chicken Tinga taco (queso, pickled onion, slaw, cotija),  Grilled Mahi (cabbage slaw, pickled onion, cotija, sriracha mayo), an Ahi Tuna Poke (lemon, tamari soy, ginger, red chile, scallions, cucumber, radish, sesame seeds) and the avocado fries!

Be sure to stop in for $2 taco thursday and $4 margaritas! Ps. the best parking is right across the street from the restaurant!

*Thanks C’Viche for having me in! Gracias!
